After being incarcerated for nearly five years, rapper Pimp C has reportedly been granted parole and could be released before Christmas. This has caused many celebrations in Texas and other southern states.

Bun B, a very good friend of Pimp C is in preparation for a welcome back Pimp C party which should be ready as soon as Pimp C is let out of prison.

There has been a variation of apparel in heavy rotation with "Free Pimp C" written out on it and Bun B stated that "it is a blessing" that these shirts will be able to finally be burnt up and they himself and his business partner Pimp C can get back to work.

Now that it is a definite that he will get parole, Pimp C is ready to get back to production and rapping, but he will be watched by the government until approximately 2009.

Pimp C, whose real name is Chad Butler, was sentenced after falling behind on community service required after he pleaded no contest to aggravated assault. He was charged after brandishing a gun during an argument with a woman at a mall.

All of this is behind him now as he preapares to focus on his work and uphold the image of the "great state of Texas" with new albums and new production.
